Description
The big advantage of the immersion chiller is that you just drop it in the boil 15 minutes before flame out. That will sanitize it. At flame out start running cold water through it until you hit your pitch temp. With a counterflow chiller it happens but you have to pump. Also this chiller is affordable! The chiller is made from 50′ of 1/2” Stainless Steel tubing with one male and one female garden hose fitting on each side.
Note: The inner bends on the coils have small indentations that are a natural result of the winding process used during manufacturing. By enlarging the photos you may be able to see them. As a bonus these actually help turbulate the cooling water to eliminate laminar flow.
Approx. 12.5″ diameter, 12″ to the top coil, 23″ to the bend to go over the lip of the kettle.
