Caramunich Type 2 features golden brown, slightly aromatic kernels. This one is the most popular of the Caramunich malts.  Gives finished beer an amber to copper-red color. Adds mouth feel and fullness as well as an intense caramel aroma and biscuit accent to brew. It is regular German Munich barley malt that has undergone a drum-roasted caramelization process. A maltier crystal malt. Medium color in the CaraMunich lineup.  Use up to 5-10% for dark beer, 1-5% for light beer and pale ale. Contains gluten. Caramel malts also add body and improve head retention. Use wherever its characteristic affect is desired. It is suitable for use in all styles of beer.

Sixty staff members hold diplomas or advanced degrees as professional brewers, maltsters, brew masters or brew engineers.
