Description
SUPER MOSS Carrageenan is a boil kettle flocculent based on very pure Kappa carrageenan. Super Moss is more powerful than generic Irish Moss and correctly sized so that each tablet will treat 5 gallons of wort. The active ingredient, Kappa Carrageenan, is a high molecular weight polysaccharide derived from red seaweed. KICK® T works by assisting the coagulation and settling of haze-producing proteins and beta glucans. It locks on to the gunk and drags it to the bottom. WHIRLFLOC® T is specifically formulated to coagulate the unstable proteins in brewery worts. It collects and settles the haze-producing proteins and beta glucans. Kosher Pareve-certified and domestically formulated under GMP conditions. Can be added to beer labeled as “organic” or “made with organic.”

USAGE: Timing is more important than dosage. Add 1 tablet per 5 gallons of mash in the final 10-15 minutes of the boil. Tablets do not need to be hydrated and should dissolve rapidly. If problems occur, the tablet may be crushed prior to use. For larger batches the dosage is technically two tablets per barrel per 10 degrees Plato.
KICK kettle coagulant and fining agent is a purified, high molecular weight Irish Moss and carrageenan powder put into a convenient tablet form. It reacts with colloidal haze promoting material in the wort to accelerate the formation of dense and compact trub during the hot and cold breaks. Kick binds with the trub and is removed with that material by settling or filtration before the beer is finished. It does not remain in the beer. This saves time, boosts wort recovery, and results in a brighter wort. Improved wort clarity with Kick leads to cleaner fermentation and easier filtration afterward.
