RED BASE TEST JAR 12″ BEAKER PLASTIC TRIAL JAR For use with hydrometer to test fermenting beer or wine

$6.50

Here’s a handy and inexpensive piece of equipment you ought to have. This test jar from our friends The Vintage Shop in Canada is used to make taking specific gravity readings much easier.  This alcohol-tolerant BPA-free acrylic plastic ‘beaker’ is used to hold a sample pulled from your homebrew so that a hydrometer can be floated in it.  It is easy to read the hydrometer at eye level and you can clearly see the meniscus to measure the alcohol or possibility of alcohol. There is a pour spout and the base of the jar unscrews so the tube can be cleansed and sanitized. The quality is excellent and the Vintage Shop brand name is molded into the base.  This is ‘our pick’ of the test jars for general purpose use and we include it in some of our house equipment kits.
