MEDIUM MUSLIN BAG 5″ × 15″ Cheesecloth Bag for Boiling Straining Steeping Soaking Hops Grain and Herbs

$0.80

Here’s a 5″x15″ cotton muslin bag for steeping grains, herbs, or making hop additions.  Can be safely boiled then cleaned and reused but most brewers just toss them after one use. It’s really nice to not have to worry about cleaning them – Just steep your grain and throw it all in the compost when done. Holds about a pound of grain.

Description

An excellent quality 5″ × 15″ bag made for commercial breweries.  A great way to dry hop in the fermenter without having the hops float everywhere.  Perfect for winemakers Oak Infusions as well.  When lifting the bag from the boil support the bottom with a spoon.  Don’t over fill your bags – they are cheap use two if necessary.  Better safe than sorry.

USAGE TIPS:

  • You can put your grain or hops in and tie it off looping around on itself or even better cut off a 1″ strip from the open end and use that as a string to tie it shut.  Use a double wrap knot!
