SPUNDING VALVE Keg King 9161 Compact All Metal PRESSURE FERMENTATION in a Ball Lock Corny Keg

$44.95

Ferment under pressure in a corny keg!  Pressure fermentations are becoming ever more popular and it has become increasingly important to have a method of regulating and controlling the residual pressure from the fermentation process. The Keg King 9161 all metal compact spunding valve has been designed specifically for pressure fermentation in a corny keg or other fermenter with a ball or pin lock post.  You supply your own disconnect.  A spunding valve is also useful to release excess pressure on a pressurized fermenter or from a keg while doing pressure transfers.  The blow off pressure can be easily set using the valve’s integrated pressure gauge. The spunding valve comes complete and ready to screw on to a gas side ball or pin lock disconnect for a corny keg.  Pressure fermentation right out of the box.

Description

  • Just clip it on to your grey ball lock or pin lock disconnect and you are now pressure fermenting in a Cornelius type ball lock keg
  • Compact all-metal single-piece assembled unit with pressure adjustment from Blichmann / KegKing
  • Also works great for controlling the flow rate when doing a closed beer transfer for fermenter to keg
  • Release excess pressure on a pressurized fermenter or from a receiving keg during pressure transfers
  • Much more accurate than the spring and poppet style, and works much better at lower pressures.
  • Low profile, Compact, Easy to clean and Easy to adjust.

Instructions:  Use the knurled brass adjustment knob to control the pressure coming out of the pressure vessel. Clockwise is higher pressure and anticlockwise is lower pressure.  We would recommend gassing a keg to a known pressure e.g. 15psi then attach your spunding valve to the keg and adjust to 10psi for fermenting.
