Get the taste and aroma of a fresh oak barrel in your homebrew by adding these freshly toasted food-grade American oak chips from Crosby & Baker to your wine or shine.  These are fine appalachian oak chips sourced from OCI In Waverly, Ohio.  They are perfect for winemaking and brewing, and oak can be added during fermentation or aging.   For distillers, add oak tea prior to proofing or add oak chips during aging.
Oaking requires some experimentation, be sure to sample your product frequently all along the way!  These chips add smooth oak, coconut, vanilla, and coffee notes.  They are commercially produced and consistent from
batch to batch.

If you are in a hurry, you can boil a small amount of water, turn off the stove, and allow a handful of these chips to soak like tea.  When cool strain into your brew to taste.  These are quality chips and you can count on them being consistent from batch to batch.  These chips are Factory Packed by BSG Handcraft and are the exact same chips we formerly sold under the Crosby and Baker and Brewers Supply Group labels.
