Description
Northern Brewer is a well known dual purpose hop developed by Professor E. S. Salmon at Wye College around 1934 a cross between a old Canterbury Golding and a Brewer’s Gold male. It is currently grown in several countries around the world, especially in Germany.

 - Beta Acids: 3.0 – 5.0%
 - Alpha-Beta Ratio: 1.6 – 3.33
 - Cohumulone: (% of alpha acids): 20 – 30%
 - Total Oils in mls per 100 grams dried: 1.5 – 2.0
 - Storage(% alpha acids remaining after 6 months storage at 68° F): 70 – 85%
 - Similar Hop Varieties: Chinook, Magnum, Galena, Perle, Aurora
