Description
WILLAMETTE: Willamette (Pronounced “will LAM’ it” out there by the locals) is a foundation flavor and aroma variety with a low alpha acid content of 4-6%. Willamette is descended from a seedling of the essential English Fuggle and was named after the river that flows through the Willamette Valley in Southern Washington and Northern Oregon, Willamette was developed and released by the USDA in 1976. Very popular in the craft brewing industry it has taken root in about 20% of US craft beers. Expect both fruit and floral essence with a delicate peppery spice.
