Superior quality Montana 2-row malt made from spring barleys. The color is light gold and the flavor and aroma profile is sweet and malty with undertones of honey and cracker. Ideal base malt for all beer styles as it is germinated like a 2-row pale malt, but kilned like a pilsner malt.  This means that it is very highly modified with good yield and easy processing, but still very light in color.  This malt is the perfect base malt for modern craft breweries. Whether you’re brewing a blonde ale, a hazy IPA an imperial stout, or a fine whiskey, pale ale malt is one of the the best base malts on the market.

Steeping and germination conditions are chosen for full modification. Relatively mild kilning keeps the color low. The flavor of 2-Row Pale is described as malty, nutty and sweet. Great base malt for all malt beers but specially designed for modern Ales like APAs and IPAs.
