HOSE BARB STAINLESS 1/2″ FPT FEMALE BARBED NIPPLE 1/2″ MALE TO FIT 1/2″ TUBING and Brewing Pumps

Often used to plumb Anvil, Chugger, KegLand, March, Riptide, Wort Hog, and other brewing pumps without a coupler. A must have item to connect 1/2″ high temp tubing used in brewing systems. One part does two jobs!

It will save one whole coupler over using the male barb variant. It also is a perfect match to 1/2″ high temp silicone tubing used in brewing systems.  This fitting is female meaning the threads are made so that they enclose the male.  You just put some pipe dope or 6 turns tape in the threads and screw it in.  For draining inside the tun or kettle you don’t really even need pipe tape.

The half inch thread part is is the most common size used in home brewing.  Then you have to determine if you need 1/2 barb to fit 1/2″ ID tubing.  This is not the best choice for use with false bottoms, which are mostly 3/8″, unless your set is plumbed in 1/2″
