HOSE BARB STAINLESS 1/2″ FPT FEMALE BARBED NIPPLE 1/2″ MALE TO FIT 1/2″ TUBING and Brewing Pumps

Here’s a food grade 1/2″ Female to 1/2″ Barb.  This is the 304 Stainless Steel 1/2 inch FEMALE PIPE THREAD (FPT) National Pipe Thread (NPT) FEMALE thread to 1/2 Barb (14mm) Barb pipe fitting you need to go from your 1/2″ NPT male BULKHEAD or other male fitting.

Often used to plumb Wort Hog and other brewing pumps without a coupler.  A must have item to connect 1/2″ high temp tubing used in brewing systems.

It will save one whole coupler over using the male barb variant. It also is a perfect match to 1/2″ high temp silicone tubing used in brewing systems.  This fitting is female meaning the threads are made so that they enclose the male.  You just put some pipe dope or 6 turns tape in the threads and screw it in.  For draining inside the tun or kettle you don’t really even need pipe tape.

The half inch thread part is is the most common size used in home brewing.  Then you have to determine if you need 1/2 barb to fit 1/2″ ID tubing.  This is not the best choice for false bottoms unless your set is plumbed in 1/2″

This 304 stainless adaptor is durable and easy to use.  It is solid and well built.  This barb should last you several lifetimes!
