Description
AZACCA™: Azacca is a highly prized, dual-purpose hop that can be used in a wide range of American styles by craft brewers. It has a distinctive aroma, Some are claiming big citrus tones, but we are getting Mango, Apricot, Apples, Pears, and Pines. Although this is a dual-purpose hop it is especially useful for bittering. It is a distinctive hop unlike anything else, but most similar to Mosaic. General spec for the variety are Alpha: 15-16% Beta: 4-6% Cohumulone: 16-18%, but new BSG package says Alpha is 10.3%. The hop formerly known as #483 from the American Dwarf Hop Association, Azacca™, is one of the newest hops on the market. Provides a very crisp bitterness that doesn’t linger on the pallet, and is a great candidate for single hop recipes.
USAGE: Excellent aromatic qualities make Azacca™ a go-to hop for late and dry hop additions in a variety of styles, although its high myrcene fraction has already made it a favorite of IPA brewers. Shows well as a single hop in a simple grist..
