For crystal clear beer with firmer sediment. Removes unwanted compounds and firms up natural sediment for a crystal-clear beer with a smooth flavor.  Gelatin is a positively charged compound that reacts with negatively charged compounds such as tannin found in wines and juices thereby reducing astringency, bitterness and color. Gelatin also reacts with negatively charged colloidal silicon dioxide to form a dense coagulum with the destabilized silica, resulting in clarification. Wine and fruit juice processors benefit from the rapid clarification and improved filterability that are a result of co-fining with Gelatin and colloidal silica.  Bottom line, an effective clarifier for beer.  5g single dose packet, also available by the pound.  (See Other Items)

Description

  • 5g Pack Mangrove Jack’s gelatin beer finings
  • For crystal clear beer and wine with smooth flavor and firmer sediment
  • POSITIVE Charge fining powder
  • Food grade (animal based) Contains sulfites
  • USAGE:  1 5g Packet per 5-8 gallons

Directions: At the end of fermentation, use approximately 5 grams per 5-8 gallons.  Dissolved into 1/2 cup of luke warm (not hot) water and then add to your beer.  Stir it well, and allow to settle for 24-48 hours.
