The recipe starts with a 3.3lb can of Briess CBW® Sparkling Amber liquid malt extract and 2.5lbs Amber DME dry malt extract partnered with 8oz pre-crushed Caramel 80L and 8oz Crushed Aroma malt steeping grains. A muslim bag is included to for the grains. This year the selected hop additions are 1oz of Willamette and an ounce of UK East Kent golding, providing a mild balance between bitter and sweet. American Amber is fermented with the included Danstar Nottingham premium yeast to 4.75-5.25% ABV. Some common around the house brewing equipment is required, besides a primary fermenting bucket you need a large kitchen stock pot and a spoon!
The time is now to start your American Amber – it does require two weeks in the bottle to carbonate and condition. If you start this weekend you will have it ready in 3 weeks. Ships from stock and we will fire it out to you right away via FEDEX or Priortitty Mail. If you buy it by Wednesday there is a good chance you will have it for the weekend, and our midsouth and Midwest customers will have it Friday Night!
