Northern Brewer is a well known dual purpose hop developed by Professor E. S. Salmon at Wye College around 1934 a cross between a old Canterbury Golding and a Brewer’s Gold male. It is currently grown in several countries around the world, especially in Germany. The German is considered the premier terroir for Northern Brewer.
