Here’s a LOT OF 4 PACKS QA23 one of the newer 5 gram releases from Lalvin!  QA23 was selected specifically to solve problems.  Produces fresh, clean, fruity wines. Enhances faint varietal aromas.  It has a very low nutrient requirement and as a result produces the lowest level of sulphides (match head smell) of the two most comparable yeasts.  This yeast combines those essential qualities with the ability to enhance citrus-fruit-type aromas (lime, grapefruit) in aromatic fruit and white grapes.  Alcohol tolerance 16%.

Description

Lalvin rates QA23 Wine Yeast as it’s very best yeast for lower temperature fermentations all the way down to 50 degrees!  Good for Cider, Fresh Fruits, Dry Whites and Blush wines. Also highly compatible with malolactic fermentation (MLF). 
If you are making white wines you can cut back your nutrient additions by half with QA23.  Ever notice the faint sulfur smell in Chardonnay?  That is hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and QA23 will reduce it by a large factor.
QA23 is the go-to yeast for low temperature fermentations and will do its work as low as 50 degrees and up to 82 degrees fahrenheit.
