These are Straight Corks with a plastic top on them for easy gripping. You can push them in by hand and they fit a standard cork-finish wine bottle tightly. Mushroom corks will work fine for wines that are going to be consumed within 12 to 18 months. The patented synthetic cork material is impervious to most liquids, making these ideal for wine, distilled liquors, oils, and vinegar.

You don’t heat or boil these corks. Simply place them in metabisulfite sanitizing solution and start your normal bottling process. These corks are champfered (slanted) on the business end for easy insertion. They make a nice “SQUEAK-POP!” when they are pulled from the bottle.
