Northdown (UK) Hop Pellets 1 oz

$4.00

UK Northdown is a true dual-purpose hop with moderate bittering potential and excellent flavor/aroma characteristics.  Slightly more flavorful than the parent Challenger, it is well suited for the 21st Century.  This is an English hop developed in the 1970s as a bittering hop. The alpha acid content was high for the times.  Today with varieties having alpha acid percentages in the double digits, it’s not as impressive for bittering. Northdown hops live on because of their excellent flavor profile.  Typical beer styles that use this hop include all ales and porters.
