This is the new bucket from BSG with the easy to remove lid.  This lid is the big advantage, no more fighting that lid skirt and bruised fingers! Lid forms a very tight seal but lets you get the lid off without disturbing the lees.  Much easier than the old style paint bucket lids.  These buckets are made from polypropylene, which is less porous than other types of plastic buckets, leading to a decreased risk of harboring pathogens that can contaminate your wine, beer, mead, cider, or other type of fermented beverage. This is the size you need for 6 gallon beer and wine kits.  The big size gives you a lot more room for the advanced kits with skins and oak floating around in bags.  Lessens the chance of overflow during violent fermentation!  Fermentation buckets are the most important piece of hardware for the brewer or winemaker.  It’s funny that this is announced as a new thing – I knew a brewer +20 years ago who used this same type bucket.
