Here’s a high quality premium aluminum 10lb CO2 tank from Komos. Will dispense approximately 18 five gallon homebrew kegs before needing to be refilled.  Dimensions are 20.75″ Tall x 7″ wide and the empty weight is 8lbs.  Aluminum tanks are superior to steel because they do not rust and weight less.   Tanks should always be stored in an upright position.  Ships empty only.

Description

To have tanks filled you will want to visit your local welding or fire extinguisher supply shop. In Carbondale we recommend Cintas out at the industrial park.  The cost in Aug 2021 was $20 for a 5lb cylinder.  They used to give a 10% discount to card-carrying members of the SI Brewers brew club.  Because you are purchasing a new tank you can choose to either have it filled or to exchange it for a filled tank at your local gas supplier. If you have this tank filled the local gas supplier is responsible for affixing the correct DOT neck label that identifies the gas being put in the cylinder.  At our local this cost is $5.
