Bucket Only – NEW STYLE 7.9 Gallon (30L) Primary Fermenting Bucket (No Lid No Kit)

This is the new bucket from BSG!  This bucket fermenter comes without the lid and airlock if you don’t need them.  Although I must say the  lid is the big advantage, no more fighting that lid skirt and bruised fingers!   This lets you get the lid off without disturbing the lees.  These buckets are made from polypropylene, which is less porous than other types of plastic buckets, leading to a decreased risk of harboring pathogens that can contaminate your wine, beer, mead, cider, or other type of fermented beverage. This is a strong, light weight well made 7.9 Gallon food grade plastic primary fermentation bucket kit with airlock and drilled grommeted Lid.   Nice BSG sourced bucket with volume graduations.  Every unit has a drain that is threaded for our white plastic spigot (Shown in one photo, Not included).  The drain hole is threaded for any of our plastic spigots.  The hole comes blocked but is easily drilled with 3/8″, 1/2″ or 5/8″ bit. It won’t matter since the hole is leak free with the spigot installed.

This is the size you need for 6 gallon beer and wine kits.  The big size gives you a lot more room for the advanced kits with skins and oak floating around in bags.  Lessens the chance of overflow during violent fermentation!  Fermentation buckets are the most important piece of hardware for the brewer or winemaker.  It’s funny that this is announced as a new thing – I knew a brewer +20 years ago who used this same type bucket.
