The former Kelheim Hefeweizen, K56 is patterned after a certain classic Bavarian-style wheat beer with a hazy golden-blond color and a bubbly, effervescent character. It uses authentic Bavarian yeast and wheat malt to create the authentic estery and phenolic flavors found in this style. It is light-bodied and full in flavor with complex delicate subtleties. Want that traditional cloudy appearance? Serve it mit hefe (“with yeast”) by swirling the bottle with a a little remaining beer in it to make sure you get all the flavorful yeast. Prost!
