The recipe starts with two cans of Briess CBW® Porter base extract partnered with pre-crushed Caramel 90L, Carabrown® and Dark Chocolate steeping grains. A muslin bag is included to for the grains. This year the selected hop additions are Northern Brewer and Glacier, providing a mild balance between bitter and sweet with the addition of the included Maltodextrine. Last year the secondary was Willamette instead of Glacier and we can sub that in if you email us before we ship. This ale is fermented with the included Safale S-04 premium yeast. Some brewing equipment is required, besides your usual fermenters you will need a kitchen stock pot and a spoon!
