Often used to plumb Anvil, Chugger, KegLand, March, Riptide, Wort Hog, and other brewing pumps without a coupler. A must have item to connect 3/8″ high temp tubing used in brewing systems. One part does two jobs!

It will save one whole coupler over using the male barb variant. It also is a perfect match to 3/8″ high temp silicone tubing used in brewing systems.  This fitting is female meaning the threads are made so that they enclose the male.  You just put some pipe dope or 6 turns tape in the threads and screw it in.  For use inside the tun or kettle you don’t really even need pipe tape.

Description

This 304 stainless adaptor is durable and easy to use.  It is solid and well built.  This barb should last you several lifetimes!

Sizing: 1/2″ Female to 3/8″ Barb. This is the 304 Stainless Steel 1/2 inch FEMALE PIPE THREAD (FPT) National Pipe Thread (NPT) FEMALE thread to 3/8 Barb (12mm) Barb pipe fitting you need to go from your 1/2″ NPT male BULKHEAD or other male fitting to 3/8″ tubing.

The half inch thread part is is the most common size used in home brewing.  Then you have to determine if you need 3/8 barb to fit 3/8″ ID tubing.  If you are plumbing a false bottom this is most likely what you need unless your set is plumbed with 1/2″ tubing.
