Don’t let someone convince you that bottling beer is not fun!  All you need is a brand new Marchetti Grifo TCSG bench model soda and beer bottle capper along with 55 crown caps!  This is enough caps to practice on a couple bottles then cap off 5 gallons of homebrew.  Simply place the bottle on the stand, put a cap under the magnet, and push the handle down.  Voila!  You should be able to cap two full cases of beer in 10 minutes.  Seems to be 5 times faster than a wing capper and fewer spilled bottles.  You get a better seal, too.  You will wonder why you didn’t just get one in the first place.  Height adjusts with a simple steel pin arrangement.  Just pull the stainless steel disk shown below to raise or lower for your size bottles.  Takes just 4 seconds to switch bottle sizes.  This is the strongest capper in it’s price range of less than $100.

This the basic model TCSG “Universal Capper” from Marchetti branded GRIFO.  These are the folks that also make those big pneumatic cappers.  This capper is marketed in the Unites States by BrewCraft USA.  It is much more rigid than the Agata and is heavier weight – it actually weighs more.  As long as you “lube your bell with PetroGel” this basic capper should last you quite a while.  It has the strongest easiest height adjustment of any entry level bench capper I have seen.  It will make a loud click when the pin locks in the steel track. Sort your bottles by size and do one size at a time.   Always wear gloves while capping or corking.  

We throw in enough free crowns to cap off a couple cases.  We are currently including AMERICAN FLAG oxygen absorbing caps.  

Better order some extra caps they ship almost free with a capper and we have 15 colors to choose from!

 If you bottle more than one or two batches a year a Grifo is well worth the investment – Brewing is fun!

This capper is for USA size bottles.  It will NOT cap Euro Champagne sized bottles!

When using this capper there will be two clicks – One little one when the cap is half cramped and then when you ram the handle down the last 1/4″ a loud startling thunk as the cap is fully crimped.  Those caps are on there good, say goodbye to lost carbonation!
