Description

One of the easiest beer ingredient kits there is! Perfect for beginning brewers – does not require specialized equipment. No wort chiller needed, you just bring 2.2lb sugar to the boil in a gallon of boiling water, kill the heat, and stir until clear.  Add the can of malt then cut it with cold water and ferment!  Yeast and instructions are under the lid.  All you need  is water! (Sugar addition may be required).  Kit may be tweaked by adding spices or additional malt for a higher ABV.  Can be made as a 5 gallon kit

CHARACTERISTICS and SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Traditional Yorkshire Bitter. Its rich red-brown in color, full of flavor in classic North of England style.
  • One of the simplest kits to make, requires very little equipment and the result is a consistent and rewarding pint
  • Makes 6 Gallons (23L) ABV approx. (% vol.): 4.5%  OG 1.035-1.053 FG 1.012 (Can be made as a 5gal kit)

  • Includes instructions and yeast, requires 2.2lb (1kg) sugar addition  (Add additional LME for higher ABV)

INSTRUCTIONS:  Put 2.2lb sugar In your primary fermenter bucket and mix it with 4 pints of boiling hot water.  Add the contents of the can and mix it in.  You may rinse the can into the wort with additional hot water.  Add cold water to reach 40 pints, and check that temp is between  degrees 65-75°f, and sprinkle introduce the special brewing yeast from the sachet provided.  Allow the wort to ferment for approximately one week until fermentation ceases. Then, add priming sugar and transfer the brew into bottles or a pressure barrel, allowing it to mature for around ten days.
