The Sankey Keg Type D and Type S System Spear Removing / Opening Demounting Tool​ is a spanner used for opening Sankey D System Kegs (US Sankey) and Sankey S System (European Sankey) Kegs.  Simply insert, wait for pressure to release, and turn. If there is a snap ring you will need to remove it with a pick or pliers.  Removes the spear bung quickly and easily. Works well with corroded and ‘stuck’ bungs.  Does a really good job of pushing down the ball, degassing the keg and opens up the spear when rinsing that out too.  Just make sure to place a towel over it when using to avoid a potential beer shower.  Or not.
