Safcider TF-6 Cider Yeast is the best cider yeast for a very high aromatic intensity and complexity towards fresh fruity notes (apple, banana-pear, red, citrus and exotic fruits) combined with interesting elaborated fruit notes (applesauce). According to French cider trials, TF-6 produces a sweet and round mouthfeel strengthening candy like sensation.   This is a 5 gram pack sufficient for 6 gallons.  For all types of ciders even under difficult conditions, and even works well with sugar syrups.  Part of the new Fermentis SafCider line we are stocking including AB-1, AC-4 AS-2 and TF-6.

Description

This specially selected cider yeast is ideal for production of very high aromatics in sweet ciders all types.  TF-6 is noted for elaborate complexity.  It is fructophilic, meaning it will ferment fructose, but not quite as complete as AB-1 and AC-4.  TF-6 is able to ferment even under difficult fermentation conditions and works in a wide temperature range between 50 and 86F (10 and 30C). The ideal temperature range is between 59 and 77F (15 and 25C).  Safcider works well at low pH levels down to 3. 3pH. It has low nitrogen requirements, is highly flocculent and is able to ferment fructose very well.
