DOSAGE: One half to one full teaspoon per gallon of wort, juice, must, or 5-8 lbs of fruit. For wine add with Pot Meta 24 hour prior to pitching yeast. For beer, add in the last 10 minutes of the boil. For moonshine use 1/4 to 1/2 ounce of Fermax to 1 ounce of distillers yeast for making mash with corn, sugar wash, or other methods. Fermax is manufactured and packaged by BSG Handcraft (Formerly Crosby & Baker).
This product provides a balanced diet for your yeast. Contains diammonium phosphate, dipotassium phosphate, magnesium sulfate and autolyzed yeast. If your yeasties don’t have everything they need they will still work but at a less efficient rate and they will also produce undesireable materials that can cause off flavor and aroma. An example would be hydrogen sulfide which makes your homebrew smell ‘swampy’.
