E-Z Lok Dual-Threaded Brass Knife Thread INSERT 3/8″X16 UNC x 5/8 For Making CUSTOM WOODEN TAP HANDLES out of Hard Wood or Deer Antlers Beer Faucet Pulls Krome C984
$1.20
Design and create your own tap handles and mount it to a faucet or display with this easy to use threaded insert. For replacement or new handle construction. To install in your tap handle drill a 1/2″ hole in the bottom of your beer pull, antler, catalytic converter, whatever. Thread the insert with a 3/8″ 16 thread-per-inch bolt with a jam nut attached so that you can use a wrench to screw it into the handle (a coin or big flat head screwdriver can also be used sometimes). There is a tool for this called a ‘threaded insert driver’ EZ-LOK 500-5 available for around $20. If working with a handle made from something harder and less porous than wood (Deer Antler) your hole may need to be a shade larger or you will crack the handle. Better to be a little loose and glue it. When you are finished, remove the bolt and mount your new faucet handle directly on to your faucet!
