Description
Munton’s Nut Brown Ale has a very thick, spongy, off white, crackling head you can practically stand on. Tawney brown appearance. The aroma is strong and pungent: Rich roasted malts, nuts, of course, and banana bread. This is a very flexible kit, you can make it right out of the can, but the instructions suggest 2lbs corn sugar for higher alcohol content. We think that makes it a little cidery, so you could substitue common cane sugar with some improvement. After you make this kit the recommended way, try using brown sugar and let me know what you think… Should be very nicely nutty! You could also substitute dark DME Dry Malt Extract for the sugar.
Try to let it bottle condition for at least 4 weeks, and then cold storage for a couple more. Hide a few bottles from yourself for a few more weeks and you will be amazed.
