A metal shield that protects the thermometer, but still allows for easy reading. There is a loop on the end of shield that allows for convenient hanging. Fits all our 12″ lab thermometers and most calibrating thermometers. Case opens to hold thermometer which can be removed for cleaning. Case features a screw cap with ring and small openings around the bulb for circulation.
