Here’s a 1/2″ NPT (National Pipe Thread) 304 Stainless Steel Coupler Female/Female which allows two males to mate -=-.  Both ends are threaded 1/2″ female.  This is the coupling you will need to install your kettle screen or other brewing accessory.  It is 1.25″ long.  Can be welded to a kettle to form a welded bulkhead.
