Here’s one of the hard to find bits you will need if building your own 2″ Triclamp reflux column.  This liquid lock bubble plate enhances separation efficiency by improving vapor and liquid contact during distillation, leading to higher purity of the final product.  Bubble plate columns strip nearly all the flavor from the distillate by repeatedly condensing and recirculating the vapors.  Your wash has essentially been distilled many times in one run.  Using bubble plates you will want to hot and fast.
