This reusable copper scrubber is used for packing a distilling column to improve reflux action. Measures 4″X2″ and the more scrubbers you add to the column the higher your proof.  Copper scrub pads are great for cleaning stainless steel equipment, and can also be used as packing material for pot or reflux stills to enable the release of sulfides. Made from pure lead-free copper.  The high school science class at the Brehm Academy tested this for us.  It is not magnetic.  Under high magnification a cut strand appears to be solid copper.  There was one test that was inconclusive, the burning of a piece did not produce the expected reaction.
